AHA 2020 BLS Course Online Streaming Video Key Code is the streaming format of the BLS Course Video and features the same content as the BLS DVD, #20-1105. It is to be used by AHA BLS Instructors to teach the BLS Course, including classroom and blended learning versions. Instructors can select the version of the course they are teaching from a drop-down menu.

Videos can be streamed online with an internet connection or downloaded on up to 3 devices. This product is non-returnable.

You must provide an e-mail address when ordering this product. A code key and instructional information will be sent to you in order to activate the course online. Shipping and handling fees will be removed when the order is processed. Tech requirements are available at https://www.onlineaha.org/technical_requirements. BLS is the foundation for saving lives after cardiac arrest. This video-based, Instructor-led course teaches both single-rescuer and team basic life support skills for application in both in-facility and prehospital settings. This course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills.

After successfully completing the BLS course, students should be able to:
  • describe the importance of high-quality CPR and its impact on survival
  • describe all the steps of the Chain of Survival and apply the BLS concepts of the Chain of Survival
  • recognize the signs of someone needing CPR
  • perform high-quality CPR on adults, children, and infants
  • describe the importance of early AED use and demonstrate using one
  • provide effective ventilations with a barrier device
  • describe the importance of teams in multi-rescuer resuscitation and perform as an effective team member during multi-rescuer CPR
  • describe the technique for relief of foreign-body airway obstruction (choking) for adults and infants.
Upon completion, students receive a course completion card valid for 2 years.

The BLS Provider eCard is the electronic version of the BLS Provider Card and has replaced the paper version of the BLS Provider Card. It is a valid and more secure alternative to the printed card. eCards are issued by AHA Training Center Coordinators and Instructors to students who successfully complete all requirements of an AHA course. Students receive an email inviting them to claim their eCard online. From the email, students click on a hyperlink to claim their eCard.

BLS Instructor eCards are issued by AHA Training Center Coordinators to Instructor Candidates who successfully complete an AHA BLS Instructor Essentials blended learning course, followed by required course monitoring by BLS Faculty, and registration on the AHA Instructor Network. eCards are issued through the eCards tool located on the AHA Instructor Network. Once claimed by the Instructor, employers may validate AHA eCards at www.heart.org/cpr/mycards.
